The self-regulated learning mode differs from the primary learning mode very much. Incorporated with discussion elements, the lessons became much more interesting and vivid. The students now play the roles of teachers too. Through group discussions and analyses, I can understand the secrets behind the questions and the knowledge becomes more impressive.

Self-regulated learning requires advanced preparation, during which I acquired much more knowledge than from books. Due to the limit of the duration of lessons, teachers may not teach each topic in great detail so now I can explore myself and my knowledge becomes more impressive.

I feel that self-regulated learning allows me to get to know more friends through understanding others’ needs and this ensures better communication skills. Being a group leader allows me to feel myself important because I can help and guide other students to learn! Thanks to the interactions with my classmates in the self-regulated learning lessons, the atmosphere of the class has also become vivid!

I love the mode of “self-regulated learning” in the lessons because it is much fresher than traditional lessons focusing on listening and note-taking. What I have enjoyed most is the process of discussion with my classmates. We find out the answers, sort out problems and accomplish assignments together. It is great satisfaction for me!
